First thing to do when stepping into October…

Hold your glass high and scream PROST!!!

This is an annual thing to do when the month of October is here. Most of the pub or bar also comes out with lots of events and promotions for this festival, so does Brotzeit that serves the authentic German cuisine and the quality German beer in a chic and modern setting that gives a relaxing atmosphere for beer and pork.

Oh yes, beer and pork lovers, here is another place for you!

Brotzeit German Bier Bar

Oh well, let’s PROST first!
Of all, I have my preference towards the Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest-Märzen. It has a very pretty amber colour; well balance, with sweet malty flavour and hinted with faint bitter aftertaste. Just a very faint one. Its bottle looks special as compared to the others. Should have asked for the empty bottle to take home so that I can recycle it as water bottle at home. Hah!

Hacker-Pschorr Munchner Kellerbier Anno 1417 (Rm 33.9)

Bermerwürstl (Rm 39)
Pigs in blankets
Three smoked pork cheese sausages wrapped with bacon and served with fries.

Brotzeit Fladen Kassler
Smoked Pork Loin Pizza
Tomato sauce, mozzarella, thin slices of smoked pork loin topped with olives and freshly grated horseradish. The pizza was extremely fragrant, topped with smoked pork loin and olive.

Oktoberfest Platter (Rm 288 nett)
The star of the night. The platter is something you must order if you are coming with a huge gang, it will definitely fit the stomach of 4 to 5 pax. Comes with Brotzeit Signature Knuckle, Pork Garlic Sausages, Gypsy Belly Bacon, Lumber Jack Steaks, Nürnberger Pork Sausages & Spicy Chicken Sausages served with Sauerkraut and potato salad. Love their signature pork knuckle that came coated with a layer of crackling crispy skin, pretty addictive. If you feel you are overdone with the proteins, wash it down with the sourish Sauerkraut which works best to de-grease the palate/tummy. This platter is available in Mid Valley, Bangsar Shopping Centre and Sunway Pyramid outlets.

Apfelküchle (Rm 26 for 4 pcs)
Slices of cinnamon-sugar dusted apple fritters served with homemade vanilla sauce.

WeiBer Lavakuchen (Rm 25)
Chocolate Lava Cake
Chef’s version of molten lava cake with white chocolate in a crispy outer shell. I always love cutting through the cake, allows the molten lava leaked out from the cake. Ahhh, that gooey madness moment was pretty exciting one, that not overly sweet white chocolate sauce was something different from what we normally get in any eateries.
