Olivia Deli @ APW Bangsar
Time when the bff was back to KL, we celebrated our New Year here! (Hah… procrastinate long enough. LOL).
Olivia Deli
Located in APW Bangsar, neighbour to JUS Resto Bar , Bask , Kaiju Company , Olivia Deli is a deli shop and restaurant specializing in Southern European fares. They offer an assortment of Portuguese and Spanish groceries, also cold cuts, cheese and delicious sharing plates, paella and tapas.
It is totally a different vibe over here in APW. This place offers an al fresco dining section with rows of wooden table and wooden chairs. Wooden tables are laid with colourful vibrant placemats.
Dining in can be quite warm over here at noon time. So, thanks for placing us next to the big fan!
First thing first, Sangria by Jug Medium (Rm 120, that is good for 4 to 6 pax). A perfect drink to cool us down on this hot weather New Year.
Chef’s selection Cold cuts & Cheeses (Rm 60 for 150g)
Served with nuts, fruits, jam and bread. Beautifully plated, vibrant and colourful. I personally like the fig jam served along with this platter.
Burrata Caprese (Rm 42)
Burrata, serrano ham, aged balsamic, flat bread, olive oil
A refreshing starter loaded with lots of fresh ripe tomatoes and greens; lined with savoury serrano ham and drizzled with aged balsamic. Tangy and refreshing.
Clams a Bulhao Pato (Rm 28)
450g clams, white wine, coriander, garlic, olive oil.
I couldn’t stop spooning the broth! It was so comforting and delicious with that hint of wine and garlic. If only there were more bread on the table, I would have soaked up the bread with this umami broth.
Braised Pork Cheek (Rm 35)
Served with mashed potatoes, the pork cheek is braised to perfection, very flavourful, pulled off with fork easily.
One of The day’s Special which I didn’t manage to catch the name. This dish was filled with lots of essence from the sea. Each rice grain had socked up with all the sea essence. So rich, creamy and flavourful.
With the BFFs.
