BASK @ APW Bangsar
Gosh, APW has changed so much. The last I went should be for a lunch and dinner in Kaiju Company , and now there are more new faces pop up here in this cool space!
Located in APW Bangsar, BASK is a brilliant creation by The Tokyo Restaurant , focuses on only their hottest and most popular basque burnt cheesecake and to pair along coffee or matcha.
Chic and sleek interior, dressed in dark wooden tone; cosy ambience with inviting natural sunlight.
YURI Matcha Cheese Cake (Rm 22)
Rich with texture, creamy and velvety smooth, served with a dollop of whipped cream; laden with distinctive matcha flavour and ended with a bittersweet flavour lingered around oral cavity for long. As usual, I always love this version as compared to their original version. This was less sweet and not overly soft.
KIKU Matcha (Rm 16)
As I was full with my lunch from the next door, I opted for matcha without milk (barista said can do for no milk! Yay). Love its balance of pistachio nuttiness and umami savouries, to pair with the light bittersweet YURI matcha cheese cake.
