Espresso Lab @ The Gardens Mid Valley

  • Sumo

This is something I would do on the rainy day. Sitting by the window, order myself a hot cup of beverage and nibble on the piece of dessert/ pastry. This is where I was, last Friday late afternoon for my dose of caffeinated drink, while waiting for the siblings to do their routine workouts.

Espresso Lab’s kiosk is located at the Gardens first floor bridge area which connects to Mid Valley Megamall. There are tables and chairs beside the kiosks, but limited. I have yet to make my visit to Espresso Lab’s main quarter which is located in Solaris Dutamas. I’d heard that the main quarter does not serve any food or desserts but just coffee. This kiosk’s hot beverages menu, used to have straight forward menu such as espresso, espresso+water, espresso+milk… but has now developed into cappuccino, flat white, long black, Americano, latte…

Flat White (Rm 10)
As usual, I will go for flat white. Aromatic cup of coffee came milky and deep in flavour, with soft hint of bitter-y taste. Not my very favourite cup if to compare with the others but still a good go. My favourite cups of flat white still go to Coffee Societe and Coffee Stain.

Mocha (Rm 11) was rich and my brother love this a lot.

Chocolate & Banana Mille Crepe (Rm 11.90) to go with our hot drinks; the thousand layers sinful desserts was a lovely share along with the coffee. The sweetness on the mille crepe was just alright to go along with the bitter coffee.

I am glad that there is good coffee place around the mall now, where I could be there after shopping or while waiting for the others to do their shopping; with my gadgets switched on and sip on a cuppa. However, one may feel a bit stressful to sit over here for long as you may get stares from the passersby.

Having my weekend dose again this week?!
Ahhh, yes! Am thinking where to head over now. Any ideas from you guys?

Level One, The Gardens
(Located opposite TGI Friday’s)
