Situated at the quieter neighbourhood in TTDI, sharing the same row with Sachi , Ikiya and Bref, Tono Izakaya is the modern izakaya that takes up the far corner end lot on the same row, serving izakaya dishes that comprised of starters, sushi, sashimi, yakitori, rice don, sando, and house’s specialty dishes.
This space is very lively, filled with lots of fun and quirkiness. The premise is neon red-filled; there is an overhead installation in brightly lit wordings in Japanese language. There is also a bar counter overlooking the chefs in action, busy preparing the mouthwatering dishes for the diners.

New Prosperous Star Restaurant 福星饭店
Tucked in Taman Tun Perak, New Prosperous Star Restaurant is one of my family’s favourite no frill Chinese dai chow place. They dish out really good simple stir fries and most importantly the dishes here are very affordably priced.
Our must order is definitely the Sweet & Sour Pork古佬肉 every time we come to this dai chow. It may not be the super top gulouyok but to us, it is the super great one in terms of its flavour along with the huge portion and the price to pay for. The pork is fried to perfection, golden brown in color with crispy coating and tender on the inside; dressed with the sweet and sour gravy that will make you keep going one after another. Most importantly, very affordable. Portion below is the large portion that is priced at Rm 30, easily can feed 6 pax and above. Below are our usual orders in this place.
