During my Bangkok trip in June, I wanted to revisit Jeh O Chula again, but when I reached at the junction before making a turn to reach this restaurant, I saw human queue, which was crazyyy… longgg.
That just put me off. We couldn’t afford to queue at hungry hours. LOL. I was pretty luckily to have tried them out right before their queue was this crazy. I remembered it took me about 30 minutes on the queue at dinner time, which was quite a lucky one as compared to this latest visit. So here, I am gonna pen down the experience on my previous visit.
Jeh O Chula
Jeh O Chula is very well-known for its Mama Noodles Tom Yum (that’s the one that went viral on social media earlier) that is only available during midnight; for the supper crowd to get their bowl of the instagrammable yet flavour-packed mama noodles. But, they are actually offering quite a number of delicious dishes. To name a few, they are Signature Crispy Pork, Thai Style Salmon Sashimi, Fried Tofu with Garlic and etc.
Business starts at around 5pm onwards, come early if you wanna secure a table for their small dishes. Or come around 10pm if you would like their signature Mama Noodles Tom Yum, as it is only available from 11pm onwards. I will definitely revisit again if the queue wouldn’t be too long or if I managed to get the fast pass.
And do you know they are listed in Michelin Guide too?!
Getting here:
Get off from the nearest train station – BTS National Stadium, Jeh O Chula is about less than 10 minutes’ walk from the station.
Thai Style Salmon Sashimi Salad (250 baht)
Truly an appetite-boosting appetizer. Thick salmon sashimi cut dressed with this really syok and ass-kicking special dressing. We really love this and will definitely order this when we get to visit again.
