Located at Taman Connaught, sharing the same row with Xi Yue Happiness Asia Chicken Rice , Kiow Jie Hakka Yong Taufu is one new addition to this area not too long ago; serving delicious Hakka delicacies – Yong Tau Fu.

Get to know that this Kiow Jie is originated from Wah Kiow Peel Road Hakka Yong Tau Foo, established since 1988. Now the name of Kiow Jie is run under their third generation, aims to deliver the taste and flavours of authentic Hakka Yong Tau Fu to the public.

Each Yong Tau Fu is priced at Rm 2.1 per piece, Brinjal is always my must have! Thick and huge, with thick layer of savoury fish paste sandwiched in between the soft eggplant flesh that has also perfect crisp edges on the skin.

Spring Roll and Fu Chok came with crispiness. Especially the Fu Chok, I like it soaking up the curry from my CCF.

Taufu and Bitter Gourd were served with soup, also stuffed with thick chunk of fish paste.

Don’t forget to enjoy the Yong Taufu with their chili sauce. It comes with a kick!

Aside from the usual vegetables and tofu pok we can get in Yong Taufu, they offer some special one like Pork Rind, handmade Fish Ball, mushroom, oyster and fried dumplings. Can’t wait to revisit for more.

Curry Chee Cheong Fun (Rm 4)
Served with two pieces of cheong fun, garnished with lots of dried shrimp bits and sesame. Smooth cheong fun is dressed with the thick but not too overly creamy curry which was quite an aromatic one. The dried shrimp bits and sesame enhanced the aroma of this curry CCF. It definitely will draw over some customers from next door kopitiam’s curry CCF .

They served dried version of curry noodles too. If you are not a fan of curry, they have other options such as Soup Noodles and Kon Lou Noodles.

Special dishes such as Hakka Vinegar Pork Trotters, Lamb Curry and Nyonya Chicken Curry are available too. You may order a bowl of white rice to pair with these along with the Yong Taufu!
