If I tell you I have not try out Korean Jjajangmyoen before, do you believe it? #failfoodblogger me really have not had it before, so this bff of mine brought me to place!

Yeong Nam Ru

Located in Solaris Mont Kiara, Yeong Nam Ru is a simple place that is specializing in authentic Korean-Chinese cuisine; something I really never try before! And this hard-core bff of mine visits this restaurant every one to two weeks, for their signatures Tangsuyuk and Jjajangmyoen. She even mentioned the dishes here are really peng, leng, jeng (literally translated into cheap, great, delicious in Cantonese) and their portion is really huge which is great for sharing.

Jjajangmyeon (Rm 20)
Noodles with Black Soybean Sauce
That’s my virgin try on jjajangmyoen LOL. It was quite a unique one with caramel-liked savoury black bean sauce, stir well into the chewy noodles. Can’t say I really really love jjajangmyoen (maybe I still fancy Korean BBQ and fried chicken more), but it was a good plate of carbs for sharing.

Haemul Jjamppong (Rm 25)
Seafood Spicy Soup Noodles
Something piping hot which is best for the rainy night. Came loaded with lots of seafood and condiments, in a huge portion too!

Look! Distributed evenly among three and all were packed with seafood and other ingredients.

Tangsuyuk (Rm 65 for large portion)
Sweet and Sour Pork
The pork is battered and deep fried into perfection, served alongside with its sweet and sour sauce. The bff told me, this is the best tangsuyuk she has tried, even better than those in Korea she went. This version is not greasy, not starchy and very crispy too. You can pour the sweet and sour sauce over the crispy pork or dip the pork into the sauce like how we did, just to retain the pork’s crispiness. I am always a big fan of gu lou yok and this Korean-Chinese version one is something interesting! Must order! Just look at us, we ordered the large portion and we finished it clean!
