If you are a cheesecake lover, surely you know about this best cheesecake in the city – Burnt Cheese Cake, or you have even had it numerous time. Just recently, The Tokyo Restaurant has collaborated with Niko Neko Matcha and launched another beautiful creation – TTR Matcha Cheesecake! Have you tried it???
TTR Matcha Cheesecake (Rm 21) is now my favourite cheesecake!
Appeared in bright matured green, served with a blob of whipped cream and sprinkles of green tea powder. It was rich with texture, creamy and velvety smooth with a distinctive matcha flavour. To be honest, I prefer this to the original version as it was not overly soft and less sweet, at the same time robust with green tea flavour! If only it is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream than the whipped cream, that would be perfect (to me!).
Best to go with a cup of caffeinated beverage!
During my last visit when they just launched the cheesecake, my friend and I also ordered some other dishes from the lunch menu too.
Tom Yam Pho Noodle (Rm 16)
Flat rice noodles with slices of chicken, served in a concoction of chicken broth, tom yam, coconut milk and chili oil. The brother was sourish, hot and spicy with nutty flavour. Pretty addictive.
Spicy Chicken Diablo (Rm 25)
Huge piece of spicy sautéed chicken served with chili, garlic lemon soy sauce, roasted potatoes and a plate of rice. The chicken was very tender and juicy, very well marinated too. The chili served at the side was pretty ass-kicking, suitable to our local’s taste buds very much.
Our set lunch come with free green tea and miso soup. You may top up for a small salad dish at Rm 2. And I added-on a latte at Rm 5. TTR Mocktails, tea, soda, coffee and soft drinks are available as add on too to complete you set lunch.
