Fake tai-tai is back in action, this round the real tai-tai is with me. We are taking you on a STEAL journey this round; an afternoon tea that will fill up your tummy but will not burn your pocket a hole.
Back to one of my favourite restaurants this round, trying out the afternoon tea in French style. Didn’t know they serve afternoon tea until the day when the real tai-tai brought me over. A laid-back place it is, perfect for a weekend treat; giving the peace to the mind while enjoying the bit and pieces of sweet and savouries and sipping on the hot beverages.
2 tiers of delicacies, who doesn’t love them?!
Afternoon Tea in 2OX
Available on every Saturday and Sunday
From 2.30pm to 5.30pm
Priced at Rm 60 for 2 pax
Comes with black coffee or tea
The set comes with:
Focaccia with Trio of Spreads
Chicken Club Sandwich
Scrambled Eggs with Fine Herbs & Grilled Salmon
Scones with Butter & Jam
Vanilla Crème Brulee
Mini Dark Chocolate Pound Cake
Meringue Lemon Tart
Pain Au Chocolat
Started off with the savouries, I love the bite size toast with trio of spreads that works like the appetite booster. The scrambled egg was fluffy, filled with fragrant herbs and loaded with salmon slices. On the sweets, I fancied the lemon madeleines and meringue lemon tart. Lemon tart is one of their specialities in 2OX. The lemon curd was citrusy and lemony but not overly sour, filled in the flaky and buttery pastry base. Even if you were here for lunch or dinner, their lemon tart is something you must try out. Of course never forget the fluffy scones and then finished off with Pain Au Chocolat and croissant.
We find the afternoon tea here are pretty a steal, at just Rm 60 for 2, and you can really spend one whole afternoon over here, enjoying over the tête-à-tête session with so many elegant dainties. Also, this is a great place to hold parties or bridal showers.
