A hearty and nutritious brunch place!

Located within a narrow road of Desa Sri Hartamas, here is the fruit seller cum café, serving nutritious meal by trying to incorporating at least a fruit in their dishes.

Where about???

BreadFruits is the name!

We made our way to this lovely place for a hearty brunch on Sunday. The place was crowded with a few seats left. But we were lucky to get our seats before there was a need on a queue. Pheww… The dining area is considered a small one despite the bar counter and the fruits areas have taken up about half of the shop. The seats are just next to each other and you may overhear what’s your neighbour chatting but this did not hold us back. This is what a brunch place should be. The atmosphere was something like what we have seen in Antipodean too.

Sunday, brunch, merry…

Passion Fruit with Wild Honey
A refreshing fruit juice that sweeten with their signature ingredient – wild honey.

Flat White

Gourmet Antipasto Breakfast Platter (Rm 25.8)
Served with the traditional dry-cured hams such as Prosciutto, Salami Milano, Chorizo and aged cheeses like brie and cheedar; also the Strawberry Grape Olive Salad, the 7 min egg and toasted ciabatta! The set comes with your choice of coffee or tea, and a glass of fresh juice of the day.

Such a lovely breakfast platter. Looking fine and healthy at the same time.

Roasted Banana Bacon French Toast with Passion Wild Honey (Rm 18.8)
While S. Wine has got the sinful version, Breadfruits offers the healthier version.
A combination of sweet, sour and savoury bite of caramelized banana, bacon, cinnamon sugar and Passion Wild Honey juice on the oven baked rye bread French toast. Pour over the golden syrupy sweet aromatic liquid onto the roasted banana French toast and enjoy!!! <3

Brunch Pasta with 7 min egg (Rm 16.8)
Comes loaded with bacon, sautéed mushroom, cherry tomato, rocket and the gooey lovely 7 min egg

Love the gooeyness stir of egg into the light carbonara pasta but I find that the pasta was a little bland. Perhaps they are really health conscious and going healthy with lesser salt added in. If you were really not used to it, add in a little pinch of salt to give extra taste (it’s on the table and I used it! :P).

So, sounds like a plan for this weekend???
