Hoshino Coffee @ Mid Valley, KL
Huhuhuuuuuuuuu, I am very sad, very very sad to see that Hoshino Coffee Japan has left Mid Valley, a place I will always go in for a good cuppa of coffee, a nice yet affordable wafu style pasta, a delicious chicken katsu sandwich, and also a great place to dial in on zoom meeting.
Hoshino Coffee 星乃珈琲店 is a Japanese café chain that is renowned for its meticulously hand-dripped Arabica coffee and a cozy, “Kissaten” atmosphere. Dark wood interiors with leather sofas, chandeliers, and warm lighting; and some seatings here in Mid Valley outlet were semi-partitioned to create a greater privacy to the diners.
I was extremely sad to see that the Mid Valley outlet is already closed down and replaced by the other restaurant. I have not tried out many of their dishes yet, and that includes the soufflé pancake. Sigh… Found out there might be only one outlet left which is located in Empire Shopping Gallery (and kinda further away from city center). Just hoping that they will be back soon, to somewhere nearer in KL, or nearer to me.
Here I compile all the dishes I have tried during my visit in Hoshino Coffee Mid Valley, as a remembrance, until I get to visit again!
Hand Drip Coffee (RM 10.9)
Comes with three options to pick and I have tried all three of them – “Hoshino” Blend, Hikoboshi Blend and Orihime Blend. Personal preference, I like their Hoshino Blend which is their signature coffee; came with a smooth aftertaste and a hint of sweetness. And also the Orihime Blend that was very biscuity and floral note. Best thing, you get a 50% off for refill a second cup!
Japanese Milk Coffee (RM 9.9)
“Hoshino” Spaghetti with Eggplant, Shimeji & Sausage (RM 20.9)
Very wafu stype pasta and it was quite delicious!
Chicken Katsu Sandwich
My all-time favourite. The chicken cutlet is breaded and deep fried into perfection, sandwiched in between the fluffy toasted bread that is buttered and brushed with katsu sauce; side with pickles and fries, and served with ketchup.
Fried Chicken Karaage (RM 9.9)
Deep fried chicken served with mayonnaise.
I also managed to try out one of their All Day Everyday Japanese Brunch Menu. I just ordered a coffee and top up RM 10 for this Breakfast Platter.
Their All-Day-Value Meal was seriously at such a great deal! At only RM 19.9, there were Chicken Katsu Sandwich (main course), a clam chowder and an Iced coffee or Iced Lemon Tea on my table! It’s such a value for money!
