Back to my favourite comforting Japanese restaurant in Plaza Damas 3 – Yoshinari, this round I was there to try their Tempura Course which is only available at lunch, and it was also after 2 months of waiting (nowadays everything also have to make reservation in advance or very advance)!

Yoshinari’s Tempura Lunch Course is pretty satisfying. For just Rm 80 you will get a variety of tempura veggies, meat and fish, appetizer, soup and end with a rice dish. The tempura is lightly battered and not greasy at all. You may dip in the tempura with its tempura sauce and grated radish, or the salt and pepper provided. I like my meat with the salt and pepper, while the veggies with the tempura sauce and grated radish.

I have not been to any other places to try out their tempura course but I will definitely revisit Yoshinari again for this course.

Once we were seated, we were served with the Tempura’s essentials such as salt and pepper, the radish and tempura sauce, and pickled cabbage.

Appetizer – Chilled Egg and Spinach

Look at the wobbly golden yellow egg yolk, simply delicious.

Hot piping Tempura Clear Soup with Tempura Gobo, Carrot and Prawn, simply comforting, light and refreshing.

Ebi – Prawn
Fresh and sweet!!! Perhaps it was the first one; the prawn’s batter was slightly thicker. However after this one, the rest of the tempura was battered lightly and thinly.

With a dash of salt and pepper, it was so wow, just munch in everything, crispy and umami.

This combination was super delicious! Creamy avocado with sweetness from the pork and additional of shiso elevate the flavours of the combination!

Cured yolk on a bed of fluffy rice, topped with a dash of mustard. It was creamy and rich with every rice grains coated with the creamy cured yolk, quite aromatic too!
