Speaking of a bowl of pork noodles, where is your find? I would say mine is this stall hidden inside the kopitiam Restoran Sen Kee in Pandan Jaya.

Yong Kee Pork Noodles has been around for more than 30 years, serving hot piping “san kan cheong” version of pork noodles that come with pork balls, fried pork balls and roasted sausage (siew cheong) and minced meat on the noodles.

Springy flat and rectangular pork balls, aromatic fried pork balls, and flavourful siew cheong, swimming in the rich and milky soup that has been boiled for hours. Words really can’t describe how delicious it is. It is always comforting, my comfort bowl. I always like having the “gon lou” dried version as it is laoded with the aromatic pork oil and lards.
