Looking for a place that serves authentic Italian cuisine that is priced affordable, Silver Spoon is the one! Located in/outside the Publika mall is this elegant yet casual restaurant that is specializing in Italian dishes; offering choices of food from snack to soup to salad; from pizza to pasta to mains; as well as desserts and interesting beverages.
Mojito and Apple Ice Tea; the truly refreshing beverages for hot weather like now.
While I was waiting for my colleagues to be here, I had the Wild Mushroom Soup (Rm 15).
The soup was rich and creamy, came with blend of assorted mushroom. I love the version from Ante Kitchen & Bar as well as this one from Silver Spoon.
Cheesy Nachos (Rm 15)
Crispy nachos served with mango salsa and guacamole as dipping sauces; a great snack that goes great with your drinks and the long chit chat session.
Linguine Alfredo (Rm 26)
Al dente spaghetti tossed in creamy sauce and served with turkey toast and mushroom, and also touched with an egg. Heart the runny egg yolk that mix well with the pasta, creating extra creamy texture to it.
Calzone (Rm 30)
The half-moon shape turnover or folded pizza; made of salted bread dough and stuffed with lots of ingredients such as roasted mushroom, turkey ham, sautéed garlic spinach and ricotta; served with marinara sauce.
Light and fluffy calzone filled with gooey lovely melted cheese. Yummy!
Silver Spoon Tiramisu
All time Italian favourite in rich mascarpone mousse, espresso coffee and sponge finger. The sponge fingers were richly soaked but not soggy. The whole combination was at a well balance, creamy and not too sweet.
Verdict: The food portion is generous, great for sharing and definitely won’t put a hole in your pocket. I don’t mind returning for more. Their food is delicious and they have a lot of interesting beverages to try on!
