Merry Guinness @ El Meson Spanish Restaurant & Tapas Bar, Bangsar
Ho Ho Ho!!!
Few days to Christmas, already plan where to party???
How about throwing one at Merry Guinness party???
Remember my gastronomic experience with Australian Masterchef Adam Liaw?
Yes, you can now enjoy his specially crafted dishes in selected outlets!
Hehe, last week, together with my partners-in-crime, we drove ourselves down town to join this Merry Guinness party at El Meson, a spanish restaurant that is situated in the heart of Bangsar; played host to kick start the Merry Guinness Christmas party! Many thanks to Henry and Hui Ping for the wonderful evening.
El Meson offered 2 sets menu for their customers to choose from, one created by Masterchef Adam Liaw while the other is done by Chef Fernando Tabernero of El Meson himself. Each set menu is priced at RM 150 nett per pax with free flow of Guinness or RM 98 nett per pax without free flow of Guinness.
Allow the black beauty to shine your night.
Masterchef Adam Liaw’s Menu
Do check out my previous post during the launch for more of his hearty dishes.
Starter: Fried Calamari with Chili Guinness Salt
My favourite stout’s snack!
Main course: Open Guinness Lamb Shank & Mushroom Pie with Champ & Watercress
Dessert: Guinness and Fruit Christmas Pudding
Chef Fernando Tabernero’s Menu
Starter: Boston Lobster with Roast Vince Tomato Salad & Guinness Dressing
Love the refreshing sweet Guinness Reduction dressing. Simply divine!
Main Course: Guinness & Rabbit Stew with Asparagus and Saffron Rice
I couldn’t let go of those carbs! Love the rice with lil crispy edges and was strongly infused by saffron. What’s more?! The sauce/gravy that played a trick to the meat and the rice, of course!
Or pick up another main course: Baked Swordfish with Guinness finishing & Asparagus with Cured Meat
Desserts: Choice of Dessert from the counter with choices such as…
Chocolate Truffle Cake
Christine and I couldn’t stop feeding ourselves with this. Rich velvety choc truffle cake, the saltiness from the cake base brought out the fragrant sweet chocolate flavours from the cake.
Chocolate Banana with Peanut Butter
Dense with thick layer of peanut butter. Yummy! Three of them made a great combination! Not to forget, take a sip of smooth creamy stout to go with this dessert.
Peach Almond Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream
And… The night ended with some harmony Christmas Carols performed by the carolers.
Fancy to try out Guinness infused dishes inspired by celebrity Masterchef Adam Liaw? Or wanna have fun with the big crowds at Merry Guinness party?!
