Quack Dessert House @ Taman Cheras, KL
Ice cream, kakigori, and ice kacang are always ideal desserts for cooling down on hot, sunny days. Chilled sweet soups, or tong sui, are another refreshing treat that helps beat the heat and satisfy sweet cravings.
Quack Dessert House 糖水吖
Located here in Taman Cheras, Quack Dessert House serves creative and light desserts that are not only refreshing but also nourishing. I tried two of their tong sui and was pleasantly pleased that they are not too sweet. They make the perfect treat for satisfying late-night cravings or enjoying as a light dessert after dinner.
Also, the cutest part of this shop has to be the live mascot who quacks over here. Once a while, it will come out of its home and freely roam around the store.
Snow Fungus Pear Soup 鸭梨不大 (RM 14.9)
Their signature dessert with snow fungus and pear soup, red dates, and final garnished with osmanthus flowers; simply nourishing, refreshing and lightly hinted with the aromatic flower note.
Collagen Rich Pumpkin Milk Medley 南不倒我奶奶 (RM 8.9)
There were snow fungus bits, sweet pumpkin and corn in the milk base sweet soup. I wanna recreate this tong sui at home, but I would omit the corn as it gave a rough texture on the palate, or maybe I shall swap it with sweet white corn.
Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun with Peanut Sauce 香港肠粉 (RM 6.9)
Savoury and peanut-y, side with crispy prawn bits; this CCF’s sauce was not the typical taste we used to have. Quite a special one I would say.
Besides the CCF, they offer savory bites like rendang-flavored curry fish balls and steamed, bouncy Terengganu-style fish cakes.
