Mid Autumn Festival @ Pin Xiang Xi, Seri Kembangan
It was the Mid-Autumn Festival; we headed back to our favourite Chinese restaurant Pin Xiang Xi Signature Chinese Cuisine 品湘喜 again for the reunion dinner and we had this specially customized menu for the special night with our relatives
2-style Chicken dish came beautifully plated. One was made with multilayer of paste and chicken skin sandwiched together while the middle one was the appetizing pulled chicken. This round, both dishes were slightly leveled up. The multilayer chicken “sandwich” was layered with yam paste while the appetizing pulled chicken was added with jelly fish for extra crunchy texture!
Steamed fish was ultimately fresh and sweet.
Special grilled Iberico pork ribs, served with spinach juice and refreshing salad.
Ahhh, this is one of the chef’s signatures and it has been years we didn’t get to taste it! I specially ordered this to savour with the family. The Iberico pork ribs was very well marinated, grilled to perfection; the meat was off the bone easily. Just nice! Not overly greasy and it was paired with the tangy spinach juice and refreshing crisp salad to wash down the grease.
Deep fried homemade beancurd – original and charcoal. Hah, my Singaporean relative thought the black one was stinky tofu so she didn’t want to try, but it is not ya. They were tofu with real bean taste.
Stir-fry kailan with yam! Filled with wok hei!
Yes! Our favourite stir-fry mee hoon with crabs again! A total of 4 crabs weighed 2.2kg were stir-fried with the mee hoon and dosed with lots of the aromatic homemade XO sauce. Super delicious!
Desserts for the night were 水果盘 Fruit Platter, 杨枝甘露 Mango Pomelo Sago and the pairing Fried Bun and Mochi
