Pink Afternoon Tea @ The Lobby Lounge, Shangri La Hotel KL
Entering the final quarter of the year and first, we are going to meet the Pink month – Pink October!
In conjunction with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur has come up with a special Pink Afternoon Tea that is covered with all pinkish hue to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA)!
Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur will channel Rm 20 from each set of Pink Afternoon Tea sales to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA). What’s not love when you get to eat the yummy treats and do charity at the same time?
Aside from that, the hotel also collaborated with the local fashion accessory brand, Bowerhaus to design a limited edition Pink Brooch paired with the Pink Afternoon Tea for the guests. Limited quantity available, while stocks last!
This pink afternoon tea set menu is specially curated by Chef de Patisserie Adrian Gan and yep, you will be covered with pinkish hue! Now, let’s start up with my favourite, shall we?

Together with the BFF, our “tai-tai mode onz” (fake tai-tai for me, LOL). The sweets and savoury were all arranged prettily in the classic stand, with KL Tower Chocolate in the middle and cookies in the drawer. As usual, I started up with savouries. All these tiny bits never let me down. Love the flavours in every bit of Charcoal Foccacia with Smoked Salmon, Choux Puff with Cocktail Shrimp, and Poached Salmon with Beetroot Corn and Ikura.
Next, I had their cookies. Love the Rose Cookies and Pink Sable very much because they were very buttery and fragrant! Best paired with my cup of tea.
As for the sweets, you will be amazed with more pinkish alluring desserts. You can ‘eat’ your lipstick, kiss the red and pink lips, and even opera came lovely in pink! Lovely! My votes went to Passion Fruit and Cream Cheese Macaroon and Raspberry & Coconut Opera! As I am a chocolate person, all chocolates and pralines definitely went down into my stomach as well.
