A sea of PINK! So pastels and sweet!
This October, in conjunction with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Shangri-La Hotel KL has come up with this campaign – ‘Pink Pals of Shang KL’. So for the whole month of October, you will get to savour with sight and the all these sweet pink in colour items! Also, with every pink item purchased from the ‘Pink Specials’, Rm 5 will be contributed to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association of Malaysia. What’s not love when you get to eat and do charity at the same time?!

I am in love with this set of afternoon tea. *fake tai-tai mode onz* Not only the lovely pastel, but also the flavours in every bits too! The savoury plate was awesome! Love all savouries on the plate especially the Poached Salmon with Beetroot Corn, Charcoal Foccacia with Smoked Salmon and Ikura and Beetroot with Garlic Mushroom and Tartlet! They were really good.
As for the sweet, they were extremely lovely too. You can ‘eat’ your lipstick here, kiss the lips, opera comes coated in red and pink! How lovely! The sweet bits were not overly sweet, just nice and some of them are sourish too, so that you won’t be satiated with just the sweet taste on the palate. Raspberry and Coconut Opera for example was tangy and refreshing; the Passion Fruit and Light Cream Cheese Macaroon was bursting with the flesh of passion fruit. Was quite surprise with it.

Chicken Teriyaki Burger (Rm 56 nett) and Fish Fillet Burger (Rm 56 nett) by Arthur’s Bar & Grill.
The pinkish bun was buttery and fragrant, sandwiched the meat part; chicken teriyaki was fragrant and dosed with lemongrass scent while the fish fillet was so thick! Accompanied with homemade deep fried sweet potato and purple cabbage coleslaw.
