Honestly, it’s really not easy to get a good bowl of ramen in KL. Be it I am choosy and find that the others are not up to my standard; or I am very particular when it comes to Japanese food as I kind of… hit the wall many many times and left with disappointment (and crushed my fragile heart). However, this will make me return, for its delicious ramen and affordably priced.

Located in J’s Gate Dining, Lot 10 KL; claimed as Malaysia’s first ramen restaurant that served “The Real Chicken Noodles” (ramen) which is rarely available in Tokyo. It comes all the way from Chiyoda, Tokyo with its main store named as Seimenka KAGURAYA 征麺家 かぐら屋

Their soup base is made with ingredients from Japan, with Hidaka Konbu, dried mushrooms, dried boiled bonito, dried scallops, dried cuttlefish from Hokkaido, seaweed salt from Seto; and using only chicken to make the collagenous broth. Noodles are certified halal too, so as the halal gravy and miso gravy.

Premium Rich Ramen (Rm 18.88)
Packed with ingredients such as chicken char siu, Naruto, mustard, bean sprout, black fungus, spring onion, karamiso, mayu, ajitama and nori along with thin noodles in the premium rich soup. The soup appeared in milky white, very rich and collagenous; good for skin. LOL. The chicken char siu too, was smooth and tender with char-grilled flavour.

I had the Premium Shoyu Ramen (Rm 18.88)
With the ingredients same as Premium Rich soup above but served with shoyu soup base. It was good, filled with umami-ness. If you asked me which one I prefer, the earlier one is my answer.

Premium Spicy Miso Ramen (Rm 18.88)
Comes with thick noodles instead of thin noodles, nikumiso, corn, mustard, bean sprout, black fungus, spring onion, a slab of butter, chili powder in the spicy miso soup. Pretty good with the thick noodles adsorbing the rich broth.

At Rm 3 per pax, you may go for the refillable drinks at the drink bar. Ice lemon tea, green tea, hot coffee, hot chocolate and many more options available, which is quite a deal to sit for a longer chit chat with friends.
