HONG KONG: Macau Tsui Yuen Cafe @ Mongkok

Travelling with Citygal is always fun. She is just like the place’s dei tao chong 地头虫 a.k.a. “neighbourhood worm”. I enjoyed my trip with her, relaxingly. She did all the research beforehand, planned everything and… I just followed 😛

That was the evening after the afternoon tea at Paul Lafayet.

We toured like what the other tourists would do…

The Avenue of Stars located along the Victoria harbour waterfront in Tsim Tsa Tsui. More than 100 actors were honoured along the stars.

And then we enjoyed a Symphony of Lights along the Avenue of Stars started sharp at 8pm (daily) and last for about 10 minutes. Be here earlier to get the great seats/view.

And so, why would I say Citygal is the dei tao chong (neighbourhood worm)???

She brought me here – the Macau Portuguese food stall that hidden in the cooked food market.

The food stall is famous for its curry farmer’s bun 咖喱农夫包
Where you can choose from a variety of filling such as beef brisket, soft shell crab, pork chop, pork’s neck, chicken fillet, etc…

We ordered the pork’s neck set that consists of curry farmer’s bun, tomato soup and a tall glass of ice cold coffee. It costs only HKD 48!!! (about rm 20 per set)

Soft fluffy hot bun with generous pork’s neck slices in it. Love the tenderness of the pork’s neck and we both love the thick curry gravy a lot. Yummm…

You will be given a pair of disposable gloves to wear on, so that your hand won’t get messy when tearing the bun and dipping it into the curry gravy.

Nothing to shout out on their soup but their iced coffee was really good!

Shop 8, 2/F, Cooked Food Market,
Mongkok Complex, 557 Shanghai Streat,
Open daily from 7am to 11pm
Mongkok Complex (Mongkok MRT exit C3) and look for 澳门翠苑餐厅
