Jia De Yun Dim Sum House @ Bandar Damai Perdana
Jia De Yun Dim Sum House佳得运
Tucked in Bandar Damai Perdana, Jia De Yun Dim Sum House is my new favourite place for dim sum. Thanks to my SIL for the recommendation and I found this place serves pretty good dim sum.
Their two-page menu covers quite a variety such as steamed dim sum, baked dim sum like egg tart and custard bun, fried dim sum, porridge, steamed bao and cheong fun/ steamed rice roll. They also offer special dim sum like Cheese Prawn Ball in a cute lychee colour and shape, Rice Roll with Crispy Prawn and Pine Nuts, Unagi Seaweed Roll.
However, that day, we only had the typical dim sum dishes like where most places offer. Price is generally quite affordable, given the size of each dim sum is rather huge. I wished to try out more dishes but we were quite full already by then. Total spending was around RM 80 for 3 pax, including tea.
Freshly made dim sum, handmade daily; steam and serve upon order. So do expect a short wait time for the steaming hot dim sum.
Taste wise, all of them were very flavourful. Their Signature Siew Mai was good, but the special Organic Black Garlic Dumpling was even better! Same siew mai shape but the flavours were totally different. The Organic Black Garlic Dumpling had an aromatic garlicky taste. Really yummy.
Crab Roe Xiao Long Bao was great, delicate wrapper skin filled with savoury fillings and soupy umami broth with a hint of sweetness. Fried Radish Cake was aromatic with shrimp bits. The only let-down I guess it was the Rice Roll with Prawn as the cheong fun was not as slippery smooth and thin. Big portion though.
Signature Siew Mai (RM 7.2)
Organic Black Garlic Dumpling (RM 7.5)
Scallop Dumpling (RM 7.5)
Crab Roe Xiao Long Bao (RM 9.5)
Chive Dumpling with Spicy Sauce (Rm 7.2)
Fried Beancurd with Prawn (RM 7.9)
Fried Radish Cake (RM 7.9)
Rice Roll with Prawn (RM 7.9)
