Ang Noodle House 洪淋面馆

Cheras is always filled with good food and this is another great find in Taman Taynton View neighbourhood. Ang Noodle House 洪淋面馆 is offering delicious yet comforting bowls of traditional flavours in their Lum Mee and Ipoh style Chicken Hor Fun and Prawn Mee. Also, they offer Yong Tau Fu too, all handmade!

Signature Lum Mee 招牌特色淋面 (RM 12)
Thick yellow noodles drenched in very flavorful dark and thick but not overly starchy gravy, served with toppings like thin pork slices, shredded chicken, fresh prawns, chinese cabbage and bean sprouts.

They offer other noodles options too if you do not fancy thick noodles; such as yellow noodles, hor fun, bihun, lai fun, yee mee, lou shu fun.

Signature Lum Prawn Mee 招牌特色淋虾面 (RM 14)
As for me, I highly recommend this version, lum mee with added prawn broth! Each spoonful of the gravy was packed with umami prawn essence, hinted with a lil’ bit of fiery spiciness from the prawn broth, and there were small bits of dried shrimps (? I guess) in the gravy. It was really good, with a kicking prawn essence and spiciness.

Authentic Ipoh Prawn Noodles 怡保正宗虾面 (RM 12)
Silky smooth hor fun in a pool of addictive rich prawn broth that is cooked over long hours; rich and filled with prawn essence and hinted with a light heat from the homemade chili shrimp paste. Also generously topped with prawns, half piece of hard-boiled egg, thin pork slices and kangkung. I almost finish the broth! It was too good. Another best prawn mee find in Cheras after this one I found earlier.

Ipoh Shredded Chicken Hor Fun 怡保鸡丝河粉 (RM 11)
This shredded chicken kuey teow soup is topped with shredded chicken, prawn, bean sprouts and garnished with chopped spring onions, fried shallots and a drizzle of prawn oil. I really like the hor fun here; very silky smooth.
