HELLO ARIGATO

Nestled in a quiet, hipster enclave Everton Park, Singapore alongside with other boutique café, HELLO ARIGATO is a Japanese-inspired café and bakery, offering the Japanese inspired comfort food and specialty coffee to pair with. They are famous for the special sando that is made of super soft and chewy Japanese shokupan bread and packed with umami flavours!

This café gives a laid-back yet stylish vibe, the interior is furnished with warm wooden finishes. Cosy and inviting.

There are few other outlets of HELLO ARIGATO too – Joo Chiat Road, neighbourhood of Thompson, Bukit Timah; each of them offers a cosy ambience and very welcoming.

Iced Dirty Matcha with coffee (SGD 8)

For coffee, we picked up our favourite to go from next door Nylon while grabbing their in-house bites. They are okay with diners having coffee from their neighbor, but one could only occupy the tables outdoor.

Crispy fried tater tots aka mini hash browns, homemade salted egg yolk sauce, cereal topping, curry leaves. This was pretty addictive bite size hash browns with the aroma of curry leaves!

Tamago Sando (SGD 15)
Japanese egg mayo, tamagoyaki, ajitama egg, Japanese milk bread
Triple types of egg sandwiched by the thick cut fluffy Japanese milk bread! The ajitama was perfectly seasoned, the tamagoyaki was fluffy and the Japanese egg mayo was so delicious. Same main ingredient but different methods of preparation, the outcome was so well compatible when there are all brought together!

Gyu Sando (SGD 28)
Beef Tenderloin Katsu (medium rare), caramelized sweet onion jam, Japanese milk bread
Beef tenderloin that is lightly coated in breadcrumbs and lightly fried, enveloped by the buttery fluffy milk bread. The beef katsu made medium rare was succulent but firmer in texture. Like that smear of sweet onion jam, it elevated the whole combination!

Whisky BBQ Sando (SGD 18)
Freshly breaded chicken katsu, Suntory whiskey BBQ sauce, melted cheddar, apple slaw, Japanese milk bread
Another outlet exclusive item! I can’t quite remember that hint of BBQ sauce but the fried breaded chicken layered with melted cheese and juicy apple slaw were indeed a very refreshing combination!
