Ohhh, brunch!

Coffee place and brunch place are often the never ending lists to try out. Once I have tried this, the next day pop up another new one. Hence, my list going on longer and longer…

A friendly bakery café that stood along in the TTDI neighbourhood; with its front entrance painted in Santori Blue, vibrate and inviting; serving friendly breakfast dishes like baked egg, egg waffle, toast. Also tapas, mains, pasta and pretty pastries too.

Heard so much about this place and I decided to try it out. So on one public holiday, I joined in the crowd with my sweet caffeine buddy. The place was very very very crowded, dimly lit, and the background was extremely ear-splitting with the noise from the crowds and the music playing over the stereo. Fuuhhh, we had to shout a little during our chit chat session.

Egg En Cocotte (Rm 21.5)
Served piping hot in a ramekin, this baked egg was stuffed with lots of goods like spiced lamb sausage, beef bacon and cherry tomatoes, and dished up with crusty toast. Portion came huge too which we reckon it’s good for sharing.

Monsieur Ben Wafer (Rm 17)
Frisky’s version of egg Benedict served with wilted spinach over Belgian waffles and beef bacon. The waffles were fluffy but would be delighted if it was crispier. Always love the runny egg yolks that drench the carbo pieces. Hehe. My favourite combination will be the one from Whimsical

Phewwww, very very full as we both were greedy on having one plate by ourselves so we didn’t end our brunch with some sweet stuff like the many-talk-about Red Opera Cake. As for our verdicts, they serve pretty extensive breakfast/brunch dishes; but what we have tried didn’t really give a big wow to us. Perhaps that was because of the heavy clatters at the background. Well, me and my sweet buddy prefer somewhere with a quieter atmosphere on our rest days.
