Going Kemaman (Part 1) + Restoran Kemaman

I had a trip to the east – Kemaman with my family in the end of May; to welcome the arrival of summer! We have chosen this place was because there is beach; and also to unwind and have a break from the hectic schedule.

I was here with my aunt and family one Saturday for dinner + a pre birthday celebration for cousin. The place was crowded and it took us 20 minutes on the waiting line. Business was really good!

Sashimi Platter (RM 53) – lots of fresh thick sashimi (salmon, tuna, squids, prawns…), ebikko, and roes!

DSC_3263

Nihon Kai Sp Maki (RM 16) – with sliced vegerables and raw salmons, wrapped together in thinly rice paper. Topped with mayonnaise and garnished with ebikko. Crunchy vegetables and smooth salmon slices were really a great combination. Have a try, it’s really special.

Chirashi Don (RM 25) is definitely value for money! Thick sashimi, wide variety of raws… let me count…. There were about 5 to 6 types of sashimi stuffed onto your bowl of Japanese rice.

Gtoza(s) were pan-fried fragrantly into golden brown and were stuffed with succulent minced meat.

Never miss out this fat juicy irresistable Unagi(s) too.

And of finally, we had the yummilicious Azuki Green Tea Cake from RT Pastry House for the birthday boy!

Verdict: Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant is a great place for Japanese cuisine that would not hurt your wallet. Although the food quality is not the finest, it is still fresh and huge and juicy-licious and at a good quality. Do make a reservation before heading here or you will have to queue up at the line for some times (especially during weekends!)
