MELAKA: Something Bakery @ Jalan Bukit Cina

Located in Bukit Cina, Something Bakery is a dessert café bakery that is famous for its premium mille crêpe cakes; made of super thin crepe layers and fresh cream for a delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture. They offer great variety of flavours such as Genmaicha, Hojicha, Salted Caramel, Coconut and Tiramisu, and sometimes seasonal specials too.

I once tried their mille crêpe cakes in KL branch, but only the Genmaicha Mille Crêpe cos I was too full to check out more. So now that I had the chance travelling to Melaka , definitely need to include this café into my eat list!

And plus point, they have own parking lot for diners. One doesn’t have to go headache with fighting for a parking space!

Spoilt with choices at their cake display counter. As there were many of us, we ordered quite a few to share. Their Signature Mille Crêpe is priced at RM 16 per slice, while the Premium one is at RM 18 per slice.

Genmaicha Mille Crêpe
This has to be my favourite of all! It was aromatic with the roasted brown rice and Japanese green teea taste, nutty, airy light and refreshing.

Black Sesame Mille Crêpe
Black sesame is my next favourite. It was fully punched with the aroma of roasted black sesame, rich, creamy smooth yet refreshing. I am wondering how they manage to score well with its creamy rich texture but airy refreshing at the same time?! That’s amazing!

Chocolate Mille Crêpe
Made with 61% premium dark chocolate, it was finished with a rich bittersweet flavour lingering round my oral cavity. Pretty yummy too.

Salted Caramel Mille Crêpe
This was quite palate wow-ing with its bittersweet and savoury surprise.

Original Mille Crêpe
Topped with generous sprinkle of chopped nuts, adding a little crunch to the creamy soft texture. However, I found the original flavour didn’t stand out among the rest. It was a little sweet to my liking.
