Busanzip @ Desa Sri Hartamas, KL

I have not travelled to Busan, so I do not know how authentic it is the Busan’s specialty here in KL. However, I do love what they offer here in BUSANZIP!

BUSANZIP

Located in Desa Sri Hartamas, Busanzip need no further introduction. It drew quite a crowd when they first opening their business, created a long queue where diners need to wait for long hours especially during the weekend (I hope we don’t have to queue for a long time now).

Compiling both of my dine-in experiences here in BUSANZIP; one on a weekday lunch and another one on a weekend dinner. On the weekday lunch, we arrived at 12noon, there wasn’t any queue and there were plenty of vacant tables. Just walk in and yep, I was seated. However, on the weekend dinner (it was a Sunday as I recalled), there was a long queue in front of the shop. We arrived at 5.30pm and after 1.5 hours, we were then asked to sit in. Remember to put down your name and number of pax on the paper at the front door once you arrive; and then… waited to be called up.

Service was quite attentive. So glad that we didn’t have to wait too long for the food to be served, our dishes were all laid out on the table in a very short time.

Chilled and tangy Seaweed Soup, loaded with cucumbers, raw onions, seaweed and comes with a soft hint of sesame. I love this sourish chilled soup and it works great as a palate cleanser.

Woosamgyeup Jjukkumi (Rm 130 for 2 pax order)
Stir fried spicy webfoot octopus with beef belly on the iron plate.

Follow the steps on how to enjoy Jjukkumi, layer up everything to enjoy a mega flavours bursting on the palate. The whole combination was soooo flavourful! We kept refilling the the perilla leaf, white radish and dried seaweed to sandwich up octopus and beef belly slices. The beef belly slices were sooooo tender soft and interlaced with some fats. Super delicious!

Buchujeon – Chive Pancake (Rm 25)
This chive pancake was soooo good! Made into thin layer of pancake, dosed with lots of chives and pan-fried to crispy edges! Yum! Do come with more diners so that you could order more to try!

Add on Fried rice with Radish Kimchi (Rm 9 for 1 pax rice)
This was served after we were done with our Jjukkumi. I like that it was added with lots of seaweeds flakes!
