This season, there is new autumn petit gateau collection in The Champignons Cake Shop by Pastry Chef Kingsley Kwoh! Yay!

I am always a big fan of The Champignons Cake Shop’s petit gateau, they are all artistically crafted with multi layers of elements; very comprehensive and attractive too! This new collection is created in conjunction of the mid-autumn festival and also the arrival of autumn (my favourite season!)

Bunny (Rm 20)
Orange Whipped Ganache, Apple infused Orange Compote, Coconut Crunchy and Orange Cake

Teapot (Rm 20)
Oolong Jasmine Tea Mousse, Pear infused Lemon compote, Oolong Tea Sponge, Crumble Base
I was very impressed with this. It was softly hinted with the brew tea that was extracted through long hours of brewing method, touched with the fragrant hint of jasmine tea and punched with fruity pear and lemon compote. I love this soft whiff of flavour as a whole combination. Another perfect one for this mid-autumn festival!

Maple (Rm 20)
Lemon Cheese Mousse, Blueberry Jelly, Lime Royaltine Crunchy
Look! Maple leaf in my hand! Couldn’t touch and feel the real maple leaves this year, but here I got to touch, taste and feel the autumn. This Maple has a very distinctive citrusy flavour with the sharp lime-y scent from the base and soft lemon-y flavour from the cheese mousse, very inviting. Definitely for those who love sourish citrusy pastries.

Jade (Rm 19)
Matcha mousse, Black Sesame, Matcha Sponge
A pretty straightforward dessert, layering with the flavours from the Land of Rising Sun. Richly flavoured with matcha and sesame, you may taste the boldness of the aromatic sesame and ended with the bitterness hint of matcha.

Acorn (Rm 21)
Hazelnut Praline Mousse, Soft Caramel Nutty, Coffee Whipped Ganache and Chocolate Molleux
My favourite! The layering was rich and creamy; chocolate, coffee and hazelnut, always the perfect combo. I like it ended with the strong coffee aroma, lingering around the oral cavity.

Chocolate Hazelnut (Rm 19)
Dark Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Sponge, Hazelnut Crunchy, Milk Chocolate Chantilly
This is also another crowd pleaser, one of the bestsellers that is catered for those who love chocolate and hazelnut very much.
