Onomichi 尾道
Onomichi 尾道 is a quaint hilly port town with many slopes and temples, located along Seto Inland Sea in eastern Hiroshima Prefecture. This place is well known for its Temple Walk that connects 25 historic temples around the town, famous to be known as the starting point or endpoint for the Shimanami Kaido Bike Path (the cycling mecca), and also appeared as story spots in many movies and novels.
Using the JR Okayama-Hiroshima-Yamaguchi Area Pass, we boarded the bullet train from Okayama Station to Fukuyama Station (about 15minutes ride), made a transfer here on the local line that took us to Onomichi Station. The whole journey was about 40 minutes from Okayama Station to our destination Onomichi Station.

It is always fun to have them (Jessie, Jean and Sze) around, doing our girls’ night out with good food plus a drink or two. This round we chopped this place after hearing and reading good reviews about it, especially their tempura!
KAPPA Kaisen Izakaya
Located on the first floor of a premise in Bukit Damansara, KAPPA Kaisen Izakaya is a merry happening izakaya, filled with the vibe and fun. The menu is pretty extensive, covering from snack bites to sushi to sashimi, tempura to fried and grilled items. They even have the Otsukare set that works great as an appreciation for someone’s hard work or effort! I definitely need this every day after work LOL!
Honestly, this izakaya is kinda… dangerous good, LOL. It will make you keep ordering from the ordering device. That’s because their snacks and bites are soooo good to go with the drinks, be it with a sour or highball or sake.
