Yan Wo Seafood Restaurant @ Sungai Buloh
As I am not too familiar with places outside Cheras for Chinese stir-fry restaurant or Zi Char place, we randomly pick up this place recommended by my uncle for lunch! Little did I know, Yan Wo Seafood Restaurant actually has a few outlets in Klang Valley!
Yan Wo Seafood Restaurant
Yan Wo Seafood Restaurant is hidden inside a neighbourhood of Sierra Mas in Sungai Buloh, which is about a 10-minutes’ drive from Bandar Sri Damansara .
This Yan Wo outlet is very well lit and it is structured in a way for diners to enjoy the natural air. Do reconsider if you would like to come over for lunch on a scorching hot day. I was a little regret dining in for lunch as it was an extremely warm day during our visit, where we sweated inside out. LOL. Luckily the flavours of the dishes were on the point and the Chinese tea with lots of ice cubes saved me from the weather. Dishes here are priced very reasonably. Of course, that would be great if the place comes with air-conditioned.
Deep Fried Fish in Tiga Rasa Sauce 怪味炸鱼
The fish was deep fried to crisp in bones, drenched sauce cooked in tiga rasa (three flavours) which was sweet, savoury and a hint of spiciness.
Claypot Kangkung with Dried Shrimp 瓦煲蕹菜 (Rm 28)
Claypot Kangkung was quite aromatic, but my favourite will still be this one in Cheras !
Braised Eggplant in Claypot 鱼香茄子煲 (Rm 36)
My all-time favourite and I always order this whenever I see it in the menu. Pretty good flavour and packed with real wok hei. Love its zap (or gravy) to go with the rice!
Sweet and Sour Pork 古佬肉
Thinly sliced pork belly, fried to crispy perfection, stirred in with cubes of onions, tomatoes, pineapple in sweet and tangy sauce.
Pumpkin Tofu 南瓜豆腐
While its seasoning was on the milder side, but I could get the pumpkin flavour from the rich creamy gravy.
Hakka Style Deep Fried Pork Belly 南乳炸花肉 (Rm 38)
