I didn’t know there are actually lots of hidden gems in this building, till a reader told me I should check out this place and try them out!
Yashi-No-Mi Japanese Café is the humble little gem hidden in this building. There is an old school bar counter where you could always sit there and enjoy a glass or two; with very western-ish style sofa and tables; it looks so like a neighbourhood pub!
They are the legends, aren’t they?
Among the neighbourhood bars, d Legends Bar is the one that top my list. My previous experience in d Legends Bar was a great one! Love their thick and juicy pork burger, lovely finger bits to munch on along with the alcoholic beverages. And now, they are launching their new menu, with more lip smacking good food listed in, especially the porky dishes! Yay!!!
Thanks to Hans for the arrangement!
Pork Satay (RM 24)
Pork satay here is something not to be missed. Fat, plump and juicy pork satay!
Marinated with lots of herbs and spices that give an extraordinary kick to the porky satay; I find it quite similar to the XinJiang grilled lamb satay I had in ShenZhen years ago, exotic! You could have it just like that or go with their very fragrant chilli peanut sauce; which is a remix of Malaysian and Indonesian flavours; and a side salad. Contunue Reading
I missed out the happening event that fall on one Friday night.
The place was coated in orange color, the models were in creative orange-sprayed-paint, the guests were all dressed up prettily in orange to suit the theme; the atmosphere was so “orangey”!
Last Friday, together with the drinking-partners E and J; 3 of us braved through the crazy traffic after the heavy downpour, just to have a Friday-after-work-dinner and happy hour here in Shuraku. Thanks to the storm, our dinner turned out to become… errr supper. Well, it did not tense us up as it was Friday! Friday is a day where you should slow down your footsteps and happily welcome the weekend, isn’t it?!
Shuraku; an izakaya 居酒屋, cozy little drinking place that is very popular among the after-work drinking crowds (or happy hour). Just plain drinking?! Nope, they serve snacks food or grilled or fried stuff too!
Sake was our best friend of the night. We tried it warm.
And then… switched to the chilled one. We still find chilled sake suits our tummies most. Contunue Reading
Beer pairing is not something new, I have done beer pairing with Chinese food. Yep, it was a great one. Besides that, I always have beer with the porky-licious meals and grilled stuff. This round, beer pairing with Italian cocktail food?! Interesting!
The limited edition Tiger Crystal is back for this year-end-festive season! This time, Garibaldi Italian Restaurant & Bar is chosen as one of the collaborate partners; demonstrating the authentic Italian cocktail food paired with the refreshing and soothing Tiger Crystal. We were given the opportunity to try out and experience how Tiger Crystal blends with Italian cocktails.
Sea Bream Carpaccio with Tomato Tartare and Tiger Crystal Reduction (RM 5 each)

Warm asparagus salad with duck proscuitto, poached quail egg & hollandaise
The chewy duck prosciutto was lovely. The vivid-looking and crunchy asparagus complemented well with the salty taste from the duck proscuitto. And the touch of hollandaise sauce gave an explosive flavour to the whole dish. Contunue Reading
I had we had a soul and mind cleansing dinner on one Friday?
That was not all; because we had another cleansing session after the dinner.
(Do take note with the term on what is their real cleansing session means).
Well, I really needed some meat. So, I simply tikam (pointed) to a place that serves some protein. We then ended up in Yashiki Yakitori & Bar
Yakitori or the grilled skewers; they come in bite-sized pieces of meats to offal, mushroom, vegetables … or anything that can go on the bamboo skewer, and grilled.
Sexy pork belly, salmon with pork belly, chicken… arrived piping hot, very very very fragrant and juicy. (priced at RM 3 onwards per skewer)
Bridge Bar – a lustrous and stylish bar, located on the 28th floor of the buildings in the city centre; linking the GTower buildings.
