Arashiyama, one of my favourite places in Japan. In fact, I have been there 2 times in a year but different season – Winter ふゆ and autumn あき.
Autumn is all about chasing autumn leaves, rushing from one place to another place and catch them before the leaves kissing good bye to the mother – the trees. This autumn trip, it was more or less the same as my previous trip in winter, I skipped some places of attraction, but also added some inside.

My real journey in Kyoto started with traveling to Uji, which is the day after I landed in Kyoto. We were greeted with rather a gloomy weather with slight rain, but this didn’t put off our excitement.
Uji is a small city located between Kyoto and Nara which is famous for its top notch quality of green tea. Here, you may find the historical places such as Byodoin Temple and Ujigami, the oldest shrine in Japan. I didn’t have extra time to discover this place in depth but I got to experience something that not many may get to experience. Below are what I did while I was in Uji and Ujitawara.
Kyoto 京都 was Japan’s capital and the emperor’s residence from 794 until 1868. It is now the 7th largest city of Japan, filled with countless temples, shrines and other priceless historical structures all around the corner.
Check out what we did while we were in Kyoto for about 3 days before heading to Osaka, the sleepless city.

This was my very first trip with all the bff(s) flying out of the home country, happened back then during winter days early of the year. It was a short but fun trip with the bunch; eat and drink and beer and shopping! We managed to secure the flight ticket at its very low rate during AA promotion, and the hotel rate was pretty low too due to the non-peak winter season. *Double win*
