  • Sumo

There are requests from many of you asking me to share about the hotel stay in Kawaguchiko. I have wanted to write and share about, but my laziness always kicks in; which then delays the work. Alright, time to get my butt off and here you go.

I have to say, this was the most shiawase ♥ 幸せ ♥ stay. If you guys are planning to make a visit and book a stay here in Kawaguchiko, I strongly recommend this place.

Fuji Kawaguchiko Onsen Konansou

Strategically located in Kawaguchiko, is a Japanese-style hotel where one can experience the true “ryokan” experience. It is just about a 10mins drive from Kawaguchiko Train Station and the hotel offers free pick up service from the station upon request. Just walk over to the Tourist Information Center next to the station and ask the friendly staff to dial for the pick-up service from the hotel.

You can access many attractions from here. Also, places such as the Kawaguchiko Tenjoyama Park, Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway, Lake Kawaguchi, Kawaguchiko “En Soleil” Excursion Ship ride, Kawaguchiko Herbs Hall are just within walking distance and you can assess by foot.

This onsen hotel features both tatami-matted rooms (with the most comfortable futon beds) and western style rooms, hot spring bath (indoor and outdoor) as well as a foot bath on the roof terrace. One can actually enjoy the breath-taking Mount Fuji view up here from the roof terrace while soaking your legs in the hot spring water. If you are shy of going naked in the public bath, you can opt for guestroom with private outdoor bath or reserve their private bath at a charge

Back then when the RM currency was still strong, I got my 1 stay from booking.com at about Rm 571 per pax inclusive of kaiseki course meal dinner and breakfast with seasonal ingredients. It was the 4 pax room without the private outdoor bath. Sounds really expensive but that’s the one time must splurge when you are up here to experience the ryokan and hot spring bath.
