Ahhhh Totoro!!! Such a cute plate that filled with Totoro!!!

It has been a while since my last café hopping session. There are countless to visit nowadays, and each of them has the uniqueness in them. And my latest visit was to this place that is filled super kawaii character – the fluffy Totoro.

Peekaboo Coffee

Located in the Arked Esplanad Bukit Jalil neighbourhood, this is a place to go for the coffee fix and breakkie or brunch and then finished with their house’s waffle under the shadow of totoro. Like it the way it is decorated – semi finished concrete wall and flooring with wooden furnishing; decorated with the adorable and fluffy Totoro plush toys. I like the corner area that is equipped with the glass window that brings in the natural sunlight. Though that corner was a little warm, it is still served as one of the most instagrammable areas.

Peekaboo Coffee serves a wide range of beverages and food is limited to pasta, rice plates and breakfast plates that come with waffle. Coffee here was pretty decent, served in the ceramic cup with temperature that is friendly to your delicate hand. I had the Flat White (Rm 9) while the others had Piccolo Latte (Rm 8) and Green Tea Latte (Rm 10)

I went for their Fried Chicken Sandwich Waffle (Rm 20) while my friends had the Sautéed Vege Pasta (Rm 14) and Wild Mushroom Pasta (Rm 15). The Waffle sandwich came with Fried chicken, creamy coleslaw and mustard sauce sandwiched in between 2 fluffy waffles. Portion was huge and it was pretty good but the price was on the steeper side, I felt.

We also had a dessert to share – On The Beach Waffle (Rm 16). Topped on the waffle were the Anzac coconut ice cream, toasted coconut flakes and gula Melaka. The waffle was aromatic and fluffy with an inner chewy texture and crunchy outer crust. Much like kai-dai-zai with the eggy fragrance. Best to go with a cup of coffee or tea.

I bet the Totoro fans will love it here. And we are one!
