Sorry for the lack of updates. Was pretty busy for the past week with works and chores. How was your weekend, peeps?! Managed to hunt down something new and fresh? Do share with me!

Yellow Brick Road

One of the newer faces that stood up brightly in social media, this is a café that is located at Jalan Batai along with Sitka Restaurant, Torii and Wicked Pancake Parlour. A sister café of The Red Beanbag, this outlet has got the theme that fits with its name, with yellow and grey hues and brick road on the floor and the wall, and a countryside-feel decorated interior. Food wise, it is a lil’ different from the Australian-inspired café The Red Beanbag as one may find the Asian-Western fusion dishes in the menu.

Piccolo Latte (Rm 11)
Pretty decent cup of caffeine. Simply went wow with the pretty latte art, served in a blue china cup. This good cuppa, brewed with beans roasted by Artisan Roastery, with a blend of Columbia and Costa Rica.

I Wanna Be Kaya (Rm 22)
Yea, I believe everyone wants to be kaya (rich) too! Same goes to me here. Ordered this dish and dreamful-ly be kaya for a short session. Came with two slices of thick French Toasts poached pear, strawberries, coconut mascarpone cheese and caramel kaya sauce; kaya was on the sweeter side but balancing well with the coconut mascarpone cheese. I wouldn’t say it is extremely good, and for the price to pay for, it is pretty expensive.

Balik Kampung (Rm 25)
Percik Chicken with Tumeric Rice served with a zesty Mango Kerabu Salad. I am craving for nasi kerabu, ayam percik and all sorts of Malaysian delights always, so this was my perfect brunch plate on the table.

Triple C Baked Egg (Rm 25)
Baked egg was great too! Came loaded with minced beef and beef Bratwurst Chilli corn carne baked eggs served with naan bread. It was creamy, cheesy and filled with nutrients. Indeed a power meal to start up the day.

Yellow Brick Road is a great place to hang out and chill with a cuppa over the weekend or on the pure boring afternoon. Their food is really good but I still find the dishes are priced on the higher side. Ah well, can’t complain much as it is located in heart of KL/ Damansara.
