This is another restaurant where I used to frequent for great Chinese food spread with my family. Restoran Sim Hap Ke 新口纪, located at this busy food hub in Taman Connaught serves one of the Chinese chu char dishes that fill with wok hei.

Menu on the wall – all their specialty.

Stir-Fry Vege 潮州奶白

Salt-baked Clams 盐烧啦啦 was fragrant with the burn salt. I must say, this is good to go with the beer.

Stir-fry pig’s intestine a.k.a fallopian tube 虾米生肠 came with lots of bits and pieces of dried shrimp and chillies and full with wok hei. It was slightly on the saltier side but goes best with the white rice. This is our favourite dish over here and we order this every time when we dine in here.

Fish in assam style 亚三红枣 was good too but was on a pricey side (if not mistaken). Love the sourish appetizing sauce that drenched over the fish.

  • hi there ai wei, its been awhile since i last visited ur blog.. my connection is down for a week.. its so good to visit ur blog again, im so happy to see all those foods u posted, especially the clams, they looks very yummy.. and the 虾米生肠 oso very nice, i have not been eating this for some time..

  • Should be a good place for a family dinner. But a little far off for me lah. There's this Sin Hup Kee in Ipoh too, also famous for the dai chow dishes.
