Starbucks, Cheras Selatan

  • Sumo

I have promised my youngest brother for a The Simpson movie 2 weeks ago but yet still haven’t brought him over due to my laziness to drive all the way to TGV at Cheras Selatan. Since I finished my class early today, I decided to watch the 3.20pm show. Well, I might have enough time (about 40mins) to shop around before the show starts but then…Ah Dred called up for yum cha. He insisted me for a drink before the show. Then I rushed all my way to the complex, bought the tickets for me and my brother and then was dragged into Starbucks by Ah Dred and Ah Ho. 20minutes enough for yum cha?! Well, nevermind. After scanning through the menu, I decided to give it a try on new taste of summer — Starbucks Raspberry Black Currant Frappucino Blended Juice Drink.

My drink in venti size priced at Rm 13.50. It tasted refreshing with real raspberry and red and black currant justice mixed with minty Tazo Zen tea and ice. I love this as it had bit bit of sourly taste but the two guys shook their head on this drink. I guessed this is ‘invented’ for ladies?!

[Newly edited] Besides raspberry black currant Frappuccino, Starbucks also comes up with another drink — Starbucks Mango Passion fruit Frappuccino blended juice drink (which I haven’t tried out). Moreover, you can choose your drink to be made without tea or choose Tazo Black tea for a caffeinated option.

Ah Ho then opted for caramel frappucino in venti priced at 13.50 which I felt quite sweet.

Ah Dred who claimed he needed an ice blended drink due to the warm weather ended up with Coffee by Press at 4C priced at 15.80. It came with a box of almond biscotti and a mug. This coffee smelled great but it took quite a long time to be ready. Sigh, I never got the chance to try out this aromatic coffee as I was going to be late for the movie. And once this coffee settled at out table, I snapped pictures on it then moved. I asked Ah Dred how did it taste, he told me that it was way too bitter for his liking. Since it was bitter, I think I might like it and it smelled great. A big mug of this can definitely boost my day. Would love to try out next time~

  • haha, this biscuit is OK but i expect more for something at Rm16.50. The coffee doesn’t even smell nice to me.. so.. it’s a big disappointment.
